Booking the same Flexiestays apartment on flexiestays.com instead of Booking.com puts you in direct contact with the team that runs it and opens up savings Booking.com cannot apply: the discount code in the flexiestays.com banner, automatic weekly discounts, monthly rates from 28 nights and the option to pay 25% to book. The apartment is identical either way, because Flexiestays owns or manages every apartment it lets, including some run in partnership with their owners, and lists them on both. The difference is in the discounts available and whose terms govern the booking.
Booking.com is where many guests first find Flexiestays, and it is a good place to read reviews: Flexiestays scores 9.1 out of 10 there from more than 5,000 guests (checked 30 June 2026). For the price, compare it with flexiestays.com before you pay.
The same apartment, two ways to buy it
Flexiestays runs apartments and hotel rooms across eight buildings in Bournemouth, on the West Cliff and around St Michael’s Road. It lists them on Booking.com and Airbnb so guests searching there can find them, and sells them on its own website too. The apartment, the cleaning standard and the local team are the same whichever route you take.
How they compare

Price
The total you see on flexiestays.com before you pay includes cleaning, and nothing is added at the end. On top of the nightly price, the discount code in the banner at the top of flexiestays.com takes money off (10% at the time of writing, according to the help centre), stays of a week or more are discounted automatically, and stays of 28 nights or more switch to a monthly rate with bills included. None of those can be applied to a Booking.com reservation.
Flexiestays is not allowed to advertise its direct prices on third-party platforms, which is why Booking.com never shows you the direct option. Compare the final totals for the same apartment and dates on both sites before you decide.
Guests who have booked both ways notice the difference:
“I’d also recommend booking directly, as there are often excellent discounts available.” (Richard, Trustpilot)
Terms and flexibility
A Booking.com reservation follows the rate and policy you picked on Booking.com, and any change or refund goes through Booking.com. A direct booking follows Flexiestays’ own terms, which depend on the rate and the length of stay; the exact terms for your booking are shown at checkout before you pay.
For longer stays the gap widens. A direct monthly booking is a serviced let with one monthly figure covering the apartment, bills, Wi-Fi and council tax, no commitment beyond the first month, and the option to extend or shorten with notice. See staying a month or more in Bournemouth.
Reviews: where Booking.com helps
Booking.com only lets guests who booked and stayed through it leave a review, and it scores stays out of 10. That makes its reviews a useful independent check on any operator. Flexiestays has more than 5,000 of them, averaging 9.1 out of 10 when last checked on 30 June 2026, and they read much like the reviews on Google and Trustpilot:
“Lovely, clean and well equipped with nice extras. Beds very comfortable, plenty of hot water, and great airflow even in the heatwave. Check-in easy and staff responsive, we’ll likely return.” (Emma, Booking.com)
“Lovely apartment, returning customers. Great facilities, clean, comfortable and very well thought out, within easy reach of the beach and town.” (Robb, Booking.com)
The Booking.com score, its category scores, and every Booking.com review quoted on this site are on the Booking.com reviews page. A sensible approach is to read reviews on Booking.com and compare the price on flexiestays.com.
When Booking.com makes sense
- You are collecting Booking.com loyalty rewards and want the stay to count.
- You are booking several different places for one trip and want them in one account.
The apartment and the team will be the same. You accept Booking.com’s pricing and terms for the convenience.
When booking direct makes sense
- You want the direct-booking savings: the discount code, weekly discounts and monthly rates.
- You are staying a week or more, or a month or more.
- You want to pay 25% now and the rest later. See how the 25% deposit works.
- You want one team to handle everything, from the first question to check-out.
Moving a booking from Booking.com
If you already hold a Booking.com reservation, it stays under Booking.com’s terms. Cancelling it to rebook direct is only worth doing if your Booking.com rate allows free cancellation; check that first on Booking.com. For future stays, find the building on the hotels page or ask the Flexiestays team to match the apartment you liked.
The help centre sets out everything a direct booking includes in why book directly with Flexiestays.

Check availabilityWhat guests say about value
More reviewsWe had a great stay here with Jon and Flexistays. Jon was super responsive and helpful. The apartment was clean, the only problem was the rug was very hairy, but when we told Jon about this, he and the team immediately responded and cleaned. They provided washing machine tablets on request as well. Very good value for money, good location for the sea front, with some really nice restaurants and a small Nisa just down the road. Would definitely consider staying again.
Highly recommended
Highly recommended, will stay again! I recently stayed here and was very impressed - the room was spotlessly clean and nicely presented. Toiletries were provided, which was a nice touch. The room had a fan, fridge and kettle, which made such a difference in this hot weather! It always smelled lovely too. Gym available. The staff were helpful and just a phone call away whenever I needed anything. Great value and I'd definitely come back to this hotel.
Frequently asked questions
Is Flexiestays cheaper on its own website than on Booking.com?
Often, but compare the totals to be sure. flexiestays.com offers the discount code shown in its banner and automatic weekly and monthly savings, which Booking.com cannot apply. Open the same apartment and dates on both sites and compare the final prices.
Can I trust Booking.com reviews of Flexiestays?
Booking.com only accepts reviews from guests who booked and stayed through it, which makes its reviews a useful check. Flexiestays scores 9.1 out of 10 there from more than 5,000 reviews (checked 30 June 2026).
If I booked on Booking.com, can I change my booking with Flexiestays?
Changes, cancellations and refunds for a Booking.com reservation go through Booking.com, because it holds the booking. The Flexiestays team still looks after you during the stay.
Do I get Flexie Perks if I book on Booking.com?
Flexie Perks are listed as a benefit of booking direct on flexiestays.com. If you booked elsewhere, ask the team what applies to your stay.
