Yes, Flexiestays is legitimate. It is run by Flexiestays Ltd, a private limited company registered in England (company number 15208026, incorporated 12 October 2023), with its registered office at 557 Charminster Road, Bournemouth, BH8 9RF. Guests rate it 4.9 out of 5 from 786 reviews on Google and 4.6 out of 5 from 25 reviews on Trustpilot (both checked 28 September 2026), 9.1 out of 10 from more than 5,000 reviews on Booking.com (checked 30 June 2026), and 4.79 out of 5 from 9,629 reviews on Airbnb (checked 12 October 2026). Payments go through Stripe on flexiestays.com, and the team answers by phone, WhatsApp and email 24 hours a day.
This guide is published by Flexiestays Ltd, the company it is about, and this site is not an independent review platform. So do not take the paragraph above on trust: every check below is one you can make yourself in a few minutes, on sites Flexiestays does not run.
Check 1: the company exists
Every UK limited company is listed on Companies House, the government register, and anyone can search it for free. Search for Flexiestays Ltd or the number 15208026, or open the Flexiestays Ltd record on Companies House directly. The record shows:
- the company name and number
- that it is a private limited company, incorporated on 12 October 2023
- its registered office at 557 Charminster Road, Bournemouth, BH8 9RF
- its nature of business, SIC 68320, the management of real estate on a fee or contract basis
- its status and its filing history
The same details are published on flexiestays.com in the help centre article on company details. When the name, number and town on the website match the public register, you are dealing with a real company, not a trading name with nothing behind it.
Check 2: the reviews are spread across platforms
A scam listing tends to have reviews in one place, usually a place it controls. Flexiestays is reviewed on four platforms it does not run:
- Google: 4.9 out of 5 from 786 reviews, checked 28 September 2026. Anyone with a Google account can leave one.
- Trustpilot: 4.6 out of 5 from 25 reviews, checked 28 September 2026. Anyone with an account can leave one, invited or not.
- Booking.com: 9.1 out of 10 from more than 5,000 reviews, checked 30 June 2026. Only guests who booked and stayed through Booking.com can leave one.
- Airbnb: 4.79 out of 5 from 9,629 reviews on the Flexiestays co-host profile, checked 12 October 2026. Only guests who booked and stayed through Airbnb can leave one.
Booking.com and Airbnb are the strongest evidence here, because a review there can only follow a paid, completed stay. What matters is not only the score but the spread: thousands of reviews on platforms that Flexiestays does not control are very hard to fake. The reviews page quotes a selection of them, and how we collect reviews explains which ones and why. Each platform’s own page is the place to read the rest.
Check 3: the listing matches the apartment
One of the most common complaints about holiday lets anywhere is that the place looks nothing like the photos. The reviews of Flexiestays say the opposite, often in the same words:
“Apartment looked exactly same as pictures.” (Charanya, Trustpilot)
“The description of what we would find regarding the apartment, was very accurate. It was in a good location, clean and security was excellent.” (John, Trustpilot)
You can check this before you book. Each building has its own page on this site, with photos, room types and walking times, starting from the hotels page. Compare what you see there with the listing on flexiestays.com.
Check 4: the payment goes through the website
A legitimate operator takes payment through its own checkout. Flexiestays uses Stripe, which handles cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and several other methods, so your card details never pass through an email or a message.
Two rules make this simple:
- Pay only on flexiestays.com. The team never asks for cash or a bank transfer outside the website.
- Be wary of links you did not expect. In rare cases support may send an alternative payment link, and it is only genuine if it comes from an official Flexiestays number or email address. If in doubt, call the team on the number shown on flexiestays.com before you pay.
The option to pay 25% to book works the same way: both payments go through the same checkout.
Check 5: there is someone to call
A real operator can be reached. Flexiestays publishes a phone number, a WhatsApp number and an email address, and the team is local to Bournemouth and available 24 hours a day. If your door code does not work at midnight, the team can reset the lock remotely. If something is wrong with the apartment, they aim to sort it the same day and can move you to another apartment if it cannot be fixed.
Reviewers mention names, which is a good sign in itself. Staff who are named again and again by different guests are real people doing the job:
“The staff were helpful and just a phone call away whenever I needed anything.” (Sobia, Trustpilot)
Read more on the staff and communication reviews page.
What Flexiestays does not do
Knowing what a genuine operator will never ask for is as useful as knowing what it will:
- It will not ask you to pay by bank transfer, cash or gift card.
- It will not send an access code before your booking is paid and confirmed.
- It will not ask you to move the conversation off its own channels to get a better price.
If any of these happen, stop and call the team on the published number. The guide on how to spot a genuine holiday let covers the wider warning signs for any rental in Bournemouth.
The short answer
Flexiestays is a registered UK company that runs apartments in Bournemouth, some it owns and some it manages in partnership with their owners. It takes payment through a secure checkout on its own website, and is reviewed by guests on four independent platforms. Checking all of that yourself takes about five minutes, and it is worth doing for any holiday let, not only this one.

More reviewsJon's place is perfect for a stay in Bournemouth. The basement flat is furnished to a high standard and provides everything needed, except a coffee machine, for a great stay. It's a short walk to supermarkets and the coastal promenade. Off street parking is a bonus.
We had a great stay here with Jon and Flexistays. Jon was super responsive and helpful. The apartment was clean, the only problem was the rug was very hairy, but when we told Jon about this, he and the team immediately responded and cleaned. They provided washing machine tablets on request as well. Very good value for money, good location for the sea front, with some really nice restaurants and a small Nisa just down the road. Would definitely consider staying again.
